Can't write about healthy foods without including chocolate, right?!
But before I go any further, I should clarify - we're talking IN MODERATION and at least 70% cocao.
There are roughly a million reasons people claim that dark chocolate is good for you.
The most compelling I have found in my brief research has something to do with the microbes in your gut. But that's about as far as I'm going to go trying to explain. This article speaks most thoroughly (that I have found) to the findings in a way that non-scientist types can understand.
However, lets be honest. At the end of the day someone cold tell me that dark chocolate will make my eyelashes grow longer and I'd be all over that, true or not.
Sometimes, and only sometimes, dark chocolate is good for you just because it is. Anyone else agree?
