Sounds selfish, doesn't it?
I'm really trying to keep this 'Loving Myself' part of my 2014 LOVE Project focused on taking care of me so I can be better for others, rather than just centered on myself. I'm still deciding whether I've succeeded up to this point.
Anyway, I promised in this post that I would be back with a plan for loving myself this month.
As a side note, I'm happy to say that I passed my real estate course! The next step is taking the state exam - but I have to be approved for that first (just involves some paperwork formalities). I hope I can the final exam sometime in the next two week. I would hate to forget everything I've learned!
As far as the plan for the rest of the month, I just have one goal to do one thing every day of March. That goal is to spend 10 minutes each day doing absolutely nothing. Just sitting. Still. Eyes closed. Not thinking about everything else I should be doing. Not drinking coffee. Not reading. Just me. Call it meditating. Call it being lazy. Call it whatever you want. I'm going to do it.
I gotta admit - I think this sounds silly, I know it's going to feel silly, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it. But my husband has been doing his best to convince me that I would benefit from this, and he might be right. I'm always jumping from project to project, cleaning, blogging, juat being busy, and that feels good to me. But it also leaves me totally exhausted (and sometimes overwhelmed) by the end of the day. So I've decided that it can't hurt to try something new that sounds pretty harmless.
I'll let you know how it goes.
What do you do to relax? Do you meditate? Have any best practices you can share?
