O dear. How in the world does someone as clumsy and loud-mouthed as me narrow embarrassing moments of 28 years down to the most?!
One memory came to mind immediately which probably means it's also the most noteworthy.
I was fairly new on the job at a local real estate company, headed to my very first sales meeting full of company leaders and 75+ sales agents.
Coffee in hand and who knows what else I was walking down a flight of stairs and completely wiped out. Coffee went flying, papers and pens went flying - it was a scene out of your worst nightmare.
As I tried to collect myself (and all my belongings) I realized the scene of the crime was perfectly visible to all arriving to the meeting. I cut my knee, had blood and coffee on my clothes, and couldn't think of anything better than crawling into a deep dark hole and never coming out.
One of my co-workers whisked me off to the bathroom to help me clean up. But what can you do with blood and coffee stains? As I'm sure you guessed...not much.
I'm sure it could have been worse. I could have lost a piece of clothing or broken something and ended up in an ambulance.
And needless to say, that was the only time I ventured down those stairs. From that day on they were cursed and to be avoided at all costs.
Since I shared my most embarrassing moment, it's your turn! And I promise not to laugh...out loud...
